Plot
It is the summer of 1981, the last day of camp at Camp Firewood in Maine. Before everyone must return to reality, a lot of unfinished business must be resolved. Since it is the last day of camp, it is the last opportunity for each camper and counselor to find someone to kiss at the end of the big talent show that night. Beth (Janeane Garofalo), the camp director struggles to keep her staff in order while she falls in love with the astrophysics professor who works at the local college (David Hyde Pierce). The hysterical staff of Camp Firewood consists of two in the closet gay counselors who are in love, a shellshocked Vietnam war veteran as camp chef, a rebellious and unfaithful male staff, a nerdy Jewish good guy and a beautiful girl who break his heart.

McKinley: Arty, I need you to do me a favor. I need you to take a shower.
Arty: Ok.
McKinley: Cause your parents are coming tomorrow, and I don't want to get in trouble.
Arty: Sure
McKinley: You haven't taken a shower once this summer. Not once in 8 weeks!
Arty: I will.
McKinley: You're covered in dirt. Take a shower!!!

Why is this my favourite movie?
I went to sleep away camp named Camp Che-Na-Wah in the Adirondacks as camper and worked there as a counselor for a total of ten years. Wet Hot American Summer is just incredibly funny and it makes me reminisce about when I was a camper at Che-Na-Wah.
